The process of using a wire wound filter to filter bacteria can be analyzed in detail as follows:

1、 Structure and characteristics of wire wound filter element

Wire wound filter element is a type of deep filtration element, usually made by precisely winding textile fiber thread (such as polypropylene thread, defatted cotton thread, etc.) on a porous skeleton (such as polypropylene or stainless steel) according to a specific process. This filter element has a honeycomb structure with a sparse outer layer and a dense inner layer, which can effectively remove suspended solids, particles, rust, and other impurities in the fluid, including bacteria and other microorganisms. Its filter aperture is large on the outside and small on the inside, with excellent deep filtration effect, high flow rate, low pressure loss, high filter residue load, long service life, and can withstand high filtration pressure.

2、 The process of filtering bacteria

The liquid to be filtered enters:

The liquid to be filtered (which may contain bacteria and other microorganisms) is first pressurized into the filter inlet.

Preliminary filtration and precipitation:

After entering the lower part of the filter housing, the liquid flows through the filter element from the outside to the inside. During this process, coarser particles (including some bacterial clumps) will immediately precipitate and be released through the drain valve.

Deep filtering:

The liquid continues to flow through the interior of the filter element, passing through the curled fiber fluff covering the walls of the filter channel. These fibrous hairs can hook up tiny particles such as bacteria in the liquid like hooks and trap them in the channel. The channel of the filter element is narrow, long, and curved. When the liquid passes through at a certain flow rate, it repeatedly collides with the channel wall, further promoting the deposition of bacteria and other particles.

Filtering accuracy and effectiveness:

The filtration accuracy of the wire wound filter is determined by the thickness of the wire and the density of the winding. The finer the wire and the tighter the winding, the smaller the pores and the higher the filtration accuracy. Therefore, the wire wound filter can effectively intercept and remove bacteria and other microorganisms in the liquid.

Clean liquid discharge:

After being filtered by the filter element, the liquid becomes clear and finally flows out through the outlet pipe after being collected by the filter tray. At this point, most of the bacteria and other impurities in the liquid have been trapped in the deep and surface layers of the filter element.

Regular maintenance and replacement:

In order to maintain the filtering effect and service life of the filter element, it is necessary to regularly maintain and inspect the filter element. If the filter element is found to be severely clogged or the filtering effect is significantly reduced, it should be cleaned or replaced in a timely manner.

The wire wound filter element, with its unique structure and excellent filtering characteristics, can effectively filter out bacteria and other microorganisms in liquids. The filtration process includes steps such as the entry of the liquid to be filtered, preliminary filtration and precipitation, deep filtration, discharge of clean liquid, and regular maintenance and replacement. In practical applications, suitable filter material and specifications should be selected according to specific needs, and strict use and maintenance should be carried out in accordance with operating procedures.
